about

For anyone who cares:

I started the Drives the Common Man project in 2014 as a side project to rediscover different ways of writing music, and different ways of communicating with myself. In 2020 I brought back the "Drives the Common Man" project, releasing a bunch of music on the streaming platforms and performing all over the country, but a lot of my newer supporters don't know about the bandcamp album/singles.

I'm currently writing/recording my "debut" DCM EP, and I haven't been this excited about making music since the days of recording the album/singles on my bandcamp. I was 16 years old when I started this thing, and I'm turning 25 this year. Super fucked. ANYWAYS....

The two songs on this little EP/Album/Double-Single or WHATEVER YOU WANNA FUCKIN CALL IT, were songs that I had written and never really had a finished mix to post and just gave up on them. So here are some 2015 songs that literally no one asked for (except for Jack and Robert. Love you bros), and I'm not gonna post this on my social media, or really tell anyone about it. So feel special if you're reading this/listening to the songs. I recorded and finished both of them in the past couple hours, so if they sound like shit MIND YA BUSINESS.

These songs are bringing it back to the OG Drives the Common Man that not too many people know. Re-recording these songs solidifies that I'm still that stupid little kid insisting on keeping no secrets hid (yeah I quoted my own song SO WHAT?!) But nah foreal I feel so good putting these songs out for the sake of putting them out. No expectations or anything. How it was meant to be from the beginning.

To anyone who's supported me:

I love you and I'm eternally grateful that you chose to spend your very precious time listening to what keeps me alive.
